Not a government source

CivicaPR is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official source of any government, agency, or public official. References to officials and entities are based on public records.

Accuracy & AI-assisted content

Information is compiled from public and third-party sources and may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date records. Some summaries are generated with AI assistance over cited sources; we present sources so you can verify. CivicaPR makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information. Always verify against the original source before relying on it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform to harass, defame, or harm any individual, to misrepresent information, or in any unlawful manner. Public-record information is provided for legitimate research, journalism, civic, and transparency purposes.

Our data, compilation & intellectual property

The underlying public records CivicaPR draws on (legislative, contracting, census, campaign finance, and disaster data, among others) are in the public domain and are not owned by anyone. CivicaPR's value — and what is protected — is the work built on top of them: the selection, cleaning, entity resolution, cross-linking, enrichment, scoring, summaries, methodology, software, design, and the compiled database as a whole. These are the original work and property of R21 Digital and are protected by copyright and other applicable rights. “The compiled database” means our organized, cross-referenced collection of records and derived data, not the individual public records themselves. These rights are held by R21 Digital and its parent entity, R21 Media Group LLC.

Citation & attribution (encouraged)

You are welcome to read, search, quote, cite, and link to CivicaPR — including in journalism, research, and AI-generated answers — with clear attribution to CivicaPR and a link to the relevant page. Sharing what you find and pointing people back to us is expressly permitted and encouraged.

Prohibited use of our data

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

• scrape, crawl, spider, or use automated means to extract data beyond ordinary personal browsing, or in a way that circumvents rate limits, access controls, or authentication;
• bulk-download, copy, or reproduce a substantial part of the compiled database, or systematically collect our records or derived data;
• redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make the compiled database (or a substantial part of it) available as a dataset or service to others;
• use the compiled database or our enriched/derived data to train, fine-tune, or build machine learning or AI models, or to build a competing product or dataset;
• remove, obscure, or alter attribution, source provenance, or these terms.

Legitimate research, journalism, and civic access are what CivicaPR is for — if you need bulk or programmatic access, or a data license, contact us and we will try to help.

Subscriptions, reports & billing

CivicaPR offers paid Pro Research subscriptions (billed monthly) and commissioned research reports (one-time, priced by scope). Prices are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel, and you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on each renewal. Commissioned reports are quoted and agreed before work begins. All prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.

Cancellations & refunds. You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. Commissioned reports are custom work: once we have begun work on a report, the fee is non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.

Corrections & removal requests

CivicaPR publishes pages about public officials and public entities that are compiled from public records and official sources, and each page cites the sources it draws on. If you believe information about you or your organization is inaccurate, out of date, or misattributed, email info@r21digital.com with the page URL, the specific item you dispute, and — where possible — the correct information or a link to the authoritative public source. We are committed to reviewing good-faith requests promptly and correcting genuine errors in our compilation or presentation.

Please note: where a page accurately reflects an underlying public record, the appropriate fix is usually a correction at the official source of record, which will flow through on our next update; we can annotate or contextualize a disputed item in the meantime. We consider removal requests case-by-case, balancing accuracy, the public interest in transparency, and the fact that public-record information about public figures and public entities is lawfully published.

Limitation of liability

CivicaPR and R21 Digital are not liable for any decision made or action taken in reliance on information provided through the platform. The platform is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to CivicaPR or these terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing anything, the parties agree to first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting info@r21digital.com.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice — for example, a notice on the site or, for account holders, by email. Your continued use of CivicaPR after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.
