What CivicaPR is

CivicaPR is a research platform that compiles and presents information from public records and official open-data sources about Puerto Rico — government contracts, officials, campaign finance, disaster-recovery funding, municipalities, and related news. We do not create the underlying records; we organize public information and cite our sources.

Information we collect

  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage (pages viewed, general location, device type) so we can improve the platform. This may set cookies.
  • Account data (optional). If you choose to create an account, we store the email and authentication details needed to sign you in. Browsing and research on CivicaPR do not require an account.
  • Advertising. We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.

How we use information

We use analytics to improve content and performance, and advertising to support the cost of running the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

Information about public figures

Profiles of public officials and records of public entities are drawn from public records and official sources. Private individuals' personal contact information is never published on public pages.

Third-party services

CivicaPR relies on third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense, whose use of data is governed by their own privacy policies, including Google's Privacy & Terms.
